It's important to understand that drugs don't solve problems. Also, using drugs often causes other problems on top of the problems the person had in the first place. Somebody who uses drugs can become dependent on them, or addicted and you can become addicted from just one try. Don't risk your life from one try, and be a good role model to others around you. Tomorrow wear your costumes as we pledge not to let drugs "disguise" our best selves.

Illegal drugs aren't good for anyone, but they are particularly bad for a kid or teen whose body is still growing. While using drugs, people are also less able to do well in school, sports, and other activities. It's often harder to think clearly and make good decisions. People can do dangerous things that could hurt them-or other people-when they use drugs. Make good decisions by celebrating the life you live! Tomorrow is Wildcat Pride Day. Wear red or Roosevelt clothes to celebrate the end of Red Ribbon Week and to show you're ready to be drug-free!

Mrs. Shawn's Kindergarten class had the oppurtunity to design their own bubble blower and investigate which design worked the best #scientist #RESrocks #handson

Mrs. Hunts' 2nd Grade class is...i-READY- FREDDY with i-ready #i-ready #resrocks

Congratulations to our School Social Studies Fair winners: Mary Supple, Zeke Martindale, Copper Withrow, Ava Kirkpatrick, and Jaxsen Roach. County Social Studies Fair is November 3rd. #resrocks

Did you know that illegal drugs can damage the brain, heart, and other important organs? They can also cause a heart attack, even in a kid or teen. Remember to celebrate life and live drug-free! Lead a happy, fun, and healthy life by making good choices about your health. Tomorrow wear your craziest mixed-up outfit or socks as a reminder not to get "mix-up" in drugs!

Want to get more involved in your child's school community? Join us this evening for our monthly PTO meeting. Anyone with a current Roosevelt student is welcome to attend!

Red Ribbon Week is in full swing! This year's theme is "Celebrate Life. Live Drug-Free," as a reminder that by staying away from drugs, you are reminding yourself and others that you value yourself, your friends, your family, your community, and your future. By making healthy choices, like staying drug-free, you are more likely to achieve your goals! Tomorrow we are saying, "Peace Out" to drugs by wearing tie-dye and bright colors!

Tonight, come as you *aren't* for our Trunk-or-Treat and PTO Halloween Dance! The festivities begin at 5:30pm!

Next Week is Red Ribbon Week! This year's theme is "Celebrate Life. Live Drug-Free," and is a reminder that everyday people across the country contribute to their communities by being the best they can be, because they live drug-free! Don't forget that Monday's dress up day is "Follow your dreams, stay drug-free!"

Roosevelt Elementary plumbing issues are fixed. School will be on a normal schedule tomorrow.

Trunk-or-Treat and the PTO Costume Dance are still on for Friday, 10.21.22! Not sure about your child's costume for trunk-or-treat and Red Ribbon Week costume day? Here's a breakdown of some dos and don'ts to help you out! If you have any other questions, please feel free to call us at the school.
